| Someone once told me, "Write like you were describing your scene to someone who is without sight; help them see through your words." So, I shall gladly pass that nugget along with a few more. 1-Be open-minded; if one is so set in their thinking that listening to other's perspectives is extinguished, the element of learning ends and vital gems will be lost: always be willing to learn. 2-Be true to yourself and your work. 3-Pen to paper ... keep writing. The art of writing is as much for the writer as it is for the reader, perhaps more so.
Thanks for asking, Fay.

| Kae, you do a great interview. What a lovely photo of you! Good to see you. Ladyghost, as always, you did a fabulous job as the interviewer. Thank you ladies. If this hasn't spurred interest in this lovely story, I don't know what will. Cheers to all. | |

| It was a great opportunity to really think about the whys of writing. I really digested each question before answering. I am grateful for being asked, ladyghost, it was an honor. And you are wonderfully generous, Fay. In the words of my Erik, "Good to be seen." | |

| Thought I would pop in and jot down an update. My publisher has given me a mid to late November date for the polished version of BTM to be out. It goes in to the typesetter this upcoming week. The cover is about done and I have a website under construction. A little at a time and soon it will be done. Book #2 is nearly complete with its rewrites and then it will be off.
Have a fabulous weekend!

| Another update for phantom phans everywhere. Beyond the Masque (no subtitle) is at the printer and the timing? Well, we are all hoping for before Christmas, but after is just as good. Orders for Valentines Day will be the draw for those with romance in their heart, too. At first it will be up on granitepublishing.com and from there, it will depend. It is paperback and will sell for $19.95, and is 700+ pages ... look out Twilight ... The second book (manuscript), and first in its series of three, will be in the mail by Monday for the publisher to look over. Crosses fingers they're willing to pick it up. Thank you, Fay! There is one young woman who has been waiting for this to be published on account of what you've said. She appreciates the fact that BTM does not have foul language, and is clean. Your opinion and honesty is worth much. Respectfully ... | |

| Just an update. BTM is on Granite's home page at the top with a 20% discount. One step closer. The hard part is wondering how far we are from our goal ... It shouldn't be long. The carrot continues to dangle and will satisfy upon capture. I think I prefer getting my carrot before everyone else. Now, where did I leave my lasso?
Fay has provided the link just above the cover.

| You are very much welcome. I hope you find the journey smoother this time around. I reread the first chapter myself and was pleased. It's familiar and yet breathes freer.
I have a signing on April 4th from 6pm - 8pm in Colorado Springs @ Chapter & Verse, and again on April 30 (time block TBA) @ BYU Women's Conference. We'll see what comes. Granite is very excited.

| Don't forget to give Amazon.com the new version. I'll try to give you all the publicity I can. You should do a book signing here. Then I'd get to visit with you and take you to dinner. Whoo Hoo! | |

| Is there an LDS bookstore near you? I would think it a wonderful opportunity! Granite already knows that I don't expect them to furnish the transportation, they're a small publisher and are being careful. I'll ask them if they have contacts around your area. The new version is up on Amazon, but the information isn't correct. Granite is trying to get things changed ... They have owners come in to pick up copies for their bookstores and the marketing person said it looks like confettibooks may have been the one inserting the information so they could sell their copy. Amazon does not have much in the way of discretionary skills. | |

| When you say LDS Bookstore, is that the name of the store? If so, I can't find any. If you mean Deseret Book, the closes one is Orange, CA and that's about an hour or so from me.
I just looked at Amazon and it is confusing. The current release is not hardcover, but that's what they say. Odd!
Hope they get it straightened out soon.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.

| Chapter & Verse is an LDS bookstore and I wondered if there was something similar there. I haven't heard whether Deseret is accepting my book. They shouldn't have a problem with the romance if they've accepted Twilight.
Yes, Amazon is off in left field. I don't know where the information came from because Granite hadn't given them anything yet. I talked to the person responsible for marketing and they were surprised to see it up and suspected confettibooks.
I wouldn't want you to drive an hour. Bleh. Granite is working on Barnes & Noble right now. Perhaps something will come of that.

| I can't even find Chapter & Verse in California. Deseret Book is all I can find and they do not have your book. Just keep us posted on where you book sign. I live close to Los Angeles. Cheers! | |

| Well, I've one signing under my belt. What a pleasant experience I had on Saturday, despite the quirky Colorado weather. There was snow flurries, sunshine, and a wind sharp enough to make one think twice about leaving home. But, many did, for it was 'Ladies Night' at the little store in Colorado Springs. There was a cozy, heartfelt sincerity the whole of the evening while women mingled, participated in drawings, and conversed with one another. It was interesting to learn just how many had a quiet affinity for our dear Erik and his story. The time spent was well worth the drive in the adverse conditions because I was able to send 12 personalized copies out the door, which was all they had ordered; just enough!
The store owners were there and it was on their daughter's recommendation that several others were persuaded to buy BTM. She was half way through and loving it and only 15! I was also informed that for not having a 'following', 12 books was a considerable number because some who do have fans usually manage to sell around 16. I was glad I stayed an extra half hour, until the grand prize was won (my book was included), that's when the last two copies were signed for those who had hoped to win.
Grand time, meeting and greeting! Next stop on April 30, Provo, UT ... BYU Women's Conference.
