| If you're looking for a really good book...
I saw this book wasn't mentioned and I have to say, it is one of the best Phantom phanphics I've read for a sequel based on Gaston Leroux's phantom.
I normally don't like G.L. based sequels- (I've read a few E/C ones at fanfiction that were really good, but I prefer 2004 movie based stories) - but this book was outstanding!  It snagged my interest from the first page and didn't let go. It's E/C based and a historical (both of which I love and read the most, so that drew me immediately). I received it from my secret sister for Christmas a few years ago when I mentioned I'd like to read it on another PotO forum.
I'm not one bit sorry I did!
The plot was amazing, the story and characters seemed in keeping with G.L.s (I read his book and Kay's too) - full of mystery, adventure, and romance, never a dull moment (I could hardly put it down) - and well, you just have to read it for yourself.
Also (and a big plus with me) it didn't have a lot of the grammatical errors and typos or misspellings that many self-published fanfics tend to have (since many don't use copyeditors to go over the work).
