As a Phantom Phan, I was excited to see that there was a movie that would dive deeper into the famous legend. I must say that despite a few flaws this really is a must buy for anyone curious about Gaston Lerroux's opening statement in his book: "The Opera Ghost really existed".

Hey everyone! Hope you are doing well. Has anyone had a chance to see the film yet? In addition to the feature packed DVD from Amazon, you can rent the film in HD from Bigstar for only $1.99, or download it for $4.99. i have seen the movie and i am sorry for what i'm going to say

but there were several things wrong with this movie.

For starters, I got tired of hearing the mispronounciation of Leroux.

Secondly, most of the acting was not good at all...

A younger girl should have been used to play Kristen/Christine
and the ending just plain sucked.

The storyline was very good up until the end. I think parts of it should have been more indepth though...

i agree the movie wasnt that in-depth with the storyline of Christine and her relationship with the Phantom. I mean it was okay as far as the movie in its own right...but as a piece of POTO memoriblia it plain sucked

Anyway, the whole thing reminded me of something my best friend and I did one summer when we were in middle school...(though I think our camera angles were slightly better).

I have the entire video saved on my computer but unless I'm extremlly bored, I don't think that I'll be watching it anytime soon. It's not my cup of tea so much.

I'm sorry, but I think this film sucked. There were continuity errors everywhere, Christine was far too old, and there was an over-use of Green Screen when there was no need for it. That is just my opinion.
