This Angel of Music movie DOES look intriguing. My hope is that they get a whole new cast and rework it. I hate to say it, but as it is, the trailer really made it look low budget. The idea is good though.

You have to remember, investors understand the filmmaker is shooting a demo and the quality may not be A #1. Some of the best films come from a low budget demo.

I think the plotline could make up for the poor acting skills though.

Well, it's something else to add to the fandom, but it does seem, as someone said, forced. My hats off to Woosley for the project, though. It takes vision and true pioneering to pull off anything like that.

I took a peek at the trailer and learned from your website that after the preview in August you had the opportunity to go back and address some of the weaknesses discovered. What was that like and how are the changes progressing? When do you think Angel of Music will be ready for theaters?

Glad you took a glance. I was hoping the screening would be more of a premiere, but really it was the first time we screened it for an audience so I was able to use it more as a test screening, and have done numerous individual test screenings since then. It really helped to refine the story we are trying to tell, and to make it more understandable. The greatest obstacle we originally encountered was that people who didn't know the novel, and even those who did, really didn't understand the film. Now we've gotten all of the problems worked out and are just addressing some minor things, but we are going to have another screening in April.

I have. I took the initial peek and went back to peruse its pages. I like the feel of the site ... it seems to fit the underlying purpose of the film. A reporter gains information by piecing information together and that can come in different ways: typed, visual, handwritten.

I hope that the next screening is all you wish it to be and that we as fans may see it soon.

Hey guys yes it is true, AOM is now on DVD! This movie really is for fans of the novel, there are scenes, lines of dialogue etc that only real Phantom fans will understand. More than that, its you guys that can make this film a success. There is one negative review on imdb based on someone that hasn't even seen the film, so watch the film and hopefully have a more positive outlook. I realize some of you may not want to shell out the money for a film you haven't seen, but soon a download/rentable version will be online (though not till July apparently). There are a lot of deleted scenes included only on the DVD though, including scenes from the novel's Torture Chamber, and some other icnonic moments. Thank you all for your continued support! This is THE film for Phans!
