Gauthier began his musical career at the tender age of ten. He learnt how to play the guitar, the keyboard and also the drums and the bass. With the passage of time he also went on to build up his voice impersonations. He once said in an interview give to a news reporter that he had always loved singing, even before he ever know how to sing.
He further said that he had never restricted himself to one specific genre but instead he had enjoyed singing in all genres of music. Among them he had been very fascinated with the genre of opera. It had mesmerized him into learning to sing opera.
The popular show the Phantom of the Opera had made a comeback at the venue of the Hippodrome Theatre on a Friday night. The audience had been seated in awe beneath the impressive chandelier looming over them.
This production that has been produced by the talented Andrew Lloyd Webber has been an ultimate cash machine. It has grossed above five billion dollars across the globe. Along the way some 80 million people have served in it since the mid eighties.
The show has been very well directed and produced and is devoid of any flaws. In fact even the critics have failed to find a flaw in it and had been all for it long before it had made its debut. In fact the dramatic structure of the first half is foolproof. Something keeps on happening that keeps the audience glued to their seats.
As far as the musical score that has been given by Webber his songs titled "The Music of the Night" and "All I Ask of You” have been very popular amongst the audience, and even after all these years they still retain their magic.
But unfortunately a lot of Weber's attempts that he has made at an operatic sound have been nothing but unsuccessful. Overall it has been appreciated by both the audience and the critics alike and is a must watch. Get your
cheap phantom of the opera tickets before they sold out.
