THE PHANTOM RETURNS BY STEFANIE COLE

I wonder how many people have read this book, The Phantom Returns. It's more of a novelette because it's so small.

The story picks up after the 2004 musical film. It has it ups and downs as to whether things will work out for Erik and Christine, but I liked it. I just wished it was longer.

Stefanie is a friend of mine and a promising writer.

Anyone else read this book?

I haven't as of yet read this one but it is on my list...

off the general topic: I spoke to Stefanie. I thought it was cool. I told her that i hadn't gotten her novel yet but i promised that i would and then i asked her if she was to write anything else. This is what she told me:

I agree. I helped her with A Gentleman's Best Friend. Did she tell you about it? I so totally enjoyed it. I can hardly wait for publication. It's a romance novel set in 19th Century England. The story evolves around the trauma and misadventures of a young matchmaker. The fun begins when the marquis she falls in love with mistakes her status as "m" to mean mistress instead of matchmaker. You'll love it.

I really don't call this off subject since we are discussing the author.

I'm afraid I don't buy things on the internet. I had a very bad experience (stolen credit card/identity theft) and now I don't like to use credit cards over the net or phone. I'd only be able to buy it at a bookstore with cash.

You really can't find this in the book store, yet. If you want me to buy it for you, I could send it to you and you could pay me. Just a suggestion. I completely understand what you mean. I've felt the same way.

okay...so I went to get this book today and they told me it was out of print but i could order a used copy for like 80 something dollars...what the hell? so I almost got this book today.

Most self published books are in print for a short period of time. This happens with most any book which
is not in demand and it's no longer printed. When this happens, the price goes up. They figure if you want
it bad enough you'll pay any price for it.

yes i know about the book on amazon. I told my mom and she's not really wanting to order off of the net but she knows someone who has ordered from there so she's willing to ask around about the site to make sure its okay. you know? but if i can't get it from there she said she would be me the 80 something dollar one from B&N for christmas....

I order from Amazon.com all the time. I could buy it and mail to you. Amazon is very secure and you don't have to
use a credit card online. You put in the order, tell them you will pay by check and they will wait for the check.

Hope this helps. Sorry to say, no book is worth $80.00.
