| So has anyone read/heard of this book? I was in Barnes and Noble a few months ago and I found this book called Unmasqued by Colette Gale. It's basicaly like a retelling of The Phantom of the opera, excepet it's an erotic novel. The writing isnt very good and the characters arent in character and aparently, it's suposed to be based off of the diaries of Christine Daee. I was just wondering if anyone else has read it or heard of it, and if you have what did you think?

| I agree I was highly disgusted with the book. My dog liked playing with it though, I used the remains to bed a corner of my chicken coop. | |

| it was almost awkward to read...... because there can be a well written love sceen... and this book was like a script for a crappy porn film..... which is basically every porn film... | |

| When this book was published I was glad for threads like this so I could get the gist of its contents and avoid the pit altogether. I should like to thank those of you who submitted yourselves, unknowingly, so others might not be subjected. I don't see how people can classify such books as entertaining, or for that matter, art. Is it just me or do others feel the beauty of all written works, and art as a whole, suffers when something like this goes public? I am not against tastefully done works that inspire. Your thoughts. And please, tell me if I am out of line in asking. | |
