PostSubject: PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS(THE LIGHTENING THIEF, ETC.) BOOKS & MOVIE   Sun Jul 25, 2010 1:10 pm

I'm a big fan of The Lightening Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titans Curse, The Battle in the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian. These are the books in the Percy Jackson and the Olypians series.

If you like Greek mytholoy you will love these stories. The movie The Lightening Theif was not bad, but the novel was much better.

Anybody read these books?

Oh, I read the whole series..

It was pretty good but bit too childish at the same time..

You know those books that you read for fun and never touch them again??

I think it's one of those books.

THE FILM WAS CRAP!!!!

My favourite was the Labyrinth one.

I enjoyed the Labyrinth as well. I don't feel like these are one time readers. I would read them again. Perhaps there is still a bit of a child in me.

If you haven't read any of the books, the film wasn't too bad. There was a lot of holes in the plot when they took liberties with the original story. I would have enjoyed it better if they had stuck to the book.

The main problem I had with the film was how they changed the plot. I don't see how they carry on with a sequel the way the series of books are written.

When I watched it the first time, I had to ignore the fact that I had read the book and see the film for what it was.
